Today is Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) Awareness Day.
I was diagnosed 24 years ago at age 32, but had joint degeneration and surgeries from childhood. The disease progressed to severe and I was determined as “disabled “(unable to work full time) 7 years ago. I have endured multiple surgeries, therapies and procedures over the decades. Now in my 50’s the symptoms of RA + the usual physical challenges of getting older is where I am in my journey. BUT HALLELUJAH I’m still here and standing , LITERALLY. ✨🙌🏾✨
There is no cure for RA but with proper medical care, lifestyle adjustments and a positive outlook life can still be full of JOY and PURPOSE. And I share my journey as a testimony , for awareness and to motivate other warriors who are living with similar challenges.🦋
